                    MassHealth Trading Partner Testing Environment

                    This testing environment was developed to allow MassHealth trading partners to submit test transactions to MassHealth, as required, prior to the implementation of any applicable state and federal mandates or agency initiatives.

                    Providers may submit transactions to this environment only as directed by MassHealth. Submitted transactions must comply with the current initiatives being tested. Any other test submissions that do not comply will be rejected and/or may not adjudicate correctly.

                    MassHealth is currently accepting test submissions for the following HIPAA 5010 transactions only:
                    837I (this includes COB and Void & Replace)

                    MassHealth will also issue 999 acknowledgments to submitters.

                    835s will be issued to authorized receivers as required and will be available for Download twice weekly. Please note: While submitters may received 835s in response to test file submissions, MassHealth will only address 835s with submitters after they have passed Comprehensive testing.
